My name is Andrew Davies and I am an artist living in Wakefield, Yorkshire.

I like to make paintings that entertain, that amuse. I love old fantastic science fiction art and the horror comics of EC. I’m inspired by animated cartoons, diagrams, charts, instruction manuals. I like strong outlines and blocks of colour, things that use a limited colour palette; 8-bit computer graphics, screen-prints. I greatly admire the work of Chris Ware, Charles Burns, Daniel Clowes and Jeffrey Brown.
