This was my second binocular painting. The first now belongs to my mother-in-law, and every time I saw it I wanted to do another. This time the subject is a bird in an autumnal forest.

But hang on; what’s going on in the background? Are those men with the crates armed? Hmm, maybe the person with the binoculars is spying on them. Or maybe they’re a bird-watcher about to get themselves into a lot of trouble...
