A Plan for a Painting of Everything
2005? 85cm x 42cm
Some day I’d like to do a massive painting that filled a wall, or a building. I’d start small, with one image, and then work outwards with word association and logical progression until I had painted everything that exists. Maybe even some things that don’t exist.
Mind you, I reckon that there are quite a lot of things in existence to paint without making it harder with non-existent things. I could save that for the sequel, once I’ve painted everything else.
This painting is the product of various long-term musings I’ve had since reading ‘The Glass Bead Game’ by Herman Hesse
